Black wedding dress for 5th anniversary vow renewal in Scotland - first part

Brian and Samantha, who tied the knot in 2016, opted for a traditional wedding, yet deep down, they longed for a more intimate celebration. As their 5th wedding anniversary approached, they decided to renew their vows in the picturesque land of Scotland.

Samantha, an adventure elopement photographer from Oregon, envisioned a one-of-a-kind black wedding gown for this special occasion. Embracing her creativity, she sought a celestial design featuring hues of grays and black, crafted with multiple layers of silk chiffon to dance with the Scottish breeze.

With her heart set on a custom-made gown, she desired a sweetheart neckline with a daring plunge, complemented by lace details and intricate long sleeves. After an extensive search, a black art deco embroidered lace from the UK was discovered, reminiscent of the one used in our Swan wedding dress in white.

The dress took shape through virtual consultations, fabric samples, and detailed discussions. Upon a fitting in Boise, the dress was perfected and then sent to Samantha. The custom black gown was a fun creative project for our team, capturing Samanthas’s essence and vision flawlessly.
